Dyslexia-Friendly Reading Settings

Suggested typeface, text size, display mode, appearance, and pacing settings to try in Single Word Reader.

No single layout works for every reader. Single Word Reader includes controls so you can tune the reading surface instead of accepting one fixed design.

Settings to try

  • Use a larger font size before increasing speed.
  • Try the wide sans typeface if letters feel crowded.
  • Switch between Day and Night to reduce glare in your environment.
  • Use phrase mode if single words feel too disconnected.

Keep comprehension first

If you are rereading the same passage several times, slow the reader down. A comfortable pace is more useful than a high number.
